oily face + hair- THE CURE?

so these days, i've been having really bad breakouts + my hair has been going crazy! It literally becomes oily (especially my roots and near my looong bangs area) right after I blowdry or let my hair dry naturally. I get aggravated because I can't go a day without washing my hair and I've been wanting to get my hair to stop becoming so oily.. but its not exactly working ><. I've been using Joico (the blue bottle) for DRY/NORMAL hair/.. (my mom thinks we have the SAME hair type or something and tells me not to waste my time with other shampoos) But she doesn't realize that our hair types are ENTIRELY different.

Her's is very thin and coarse, and is naturally curly and is normal/dry. Her hair can also become very tangled easily but can be curled/straightened easily.

While mine's is more thicker, straight and can get oily easily especically if I dont' use the right products on it. Also, my hair is very stubborn and is EXTREMELY hard to curl or straighten (Cannot hold a curl for more than 2 hrs.)

See the immense difference? OILY VS NORMAL/DRY.

Anyways, I was doing some research online to see how I can decrease the oilyness in my hair because I just don't have the time to wash my hair everyday and it isn't good for it too. You're only suppose to wash it 2-3 times a week yet I wash it 7 times a week!

Some tips I found thanks to wikihow & various other sites. :)

HOW TO MAKE YOUR HAIR LESS OILY

1) Find a shampoo targeted specifically for OILY hair. Most people with oily hair already did something wrong by going with shampoo's that are for NORMAL/DRY hair.
EX) Some good brands out there include Pantene (although their shampoo's have wax, which although  makes your hair shiny, can m ake your hair less healthy), TRESEMME** Highly recommend, Redken.. etc.

2) You can try a pH treatment after you're done rinsing out the shampoo in your hair. You can take 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar with 3/4 water and mix it and rinse it in your hair.

3) Buy a GOOD conditioner. When you condition your hair, you should concentrate on your ends to prevent them from drying out and not put it at your roots.

4) If you have one of those days where you're extremely busy, but have been at your 3 day limit of not washing your hair already & your hair is starting to look oily especially at the roots. You should invest in a DRYING shampoo or some baby powder and lightly dust it at the roots of your hair. Gently brush it and it'll help it look less oily.

5) If you blow dry your hair, try to blowdry your hair AWAY from your face to prevent your hair (especially if you have BANGS) to getting oil from your forehead. Avoid using heat products as much as possible.

6) DO NOT WASH YOUR HAIR EVERYDAY! Wash every 3 days. Condition every 3 days or even just once a week if you want to.

I hope those tips helped! :) I just gathered them from various sites I found helpful and just rewrote it.

Something I really try is the Tresemme Vitamin C Deep Cleansing Shampoo and Remoisturizing Conditioner because I hear it strips away the oils in your hair and is targeted more towards people with oily hair! Also, I heard from many who have dyed their hair that this shampoo does not strip away the color away from their hair like some other shampoo's have. :)

For the Conditioner, it is actually for all hair types, but that's alright since I only need to use it on my ends. They retail for $3-4 dollars at Walmart or Shoppers Drug Mart (Who constantly have sales which = HORRAY) in Canada.

This is what it looks like :)

^That is the conditioner. The sahmpoo is the black bottle. :)

I can't wait to go to Shoppers Drug mart when I have time to buy the two bottles and try it out :D/. Luckily the bottles are BIG and can probably last me a really long time. I think they're bigger than the Joico bottles also and WAY cheaper b/c Joicio is Canada is $30-50 dollars for the set. I usually get mine at Winners for 16.99 a bottle which is cheaper than at salon's but is still pretty pricy for a student like myself.

KAY ONTO NEXT TOPIC HAHA...

Which is my retarded face. I've been breaking out so much lately, I'm exactly sure why..... maybe it's my diet or such- even though it's pretty much the same since a few weeks back when I had nicer skin than now. >< I'm so worried cause like pimples/bumps are suddenly popping up on my FACE which I've never had before, and is really irritating me. I keep putting Pearl Powder on it at night- hoping it'll go away, but NOOO- it's so stubborn and only decreases a tiny bit. -- My mom tells me to stop putting so much crap on my face and let my skin breathe TT. BUT She doesn't know how I feel since her skin is SO perfect. ><

My skin is also getting really dry especially my cheeks (not my forehead since it's usually very oily so now it's okay) and I think I have to switch moisturizers. I currently use the H2O face osis hydrating gel which is used for oily skin. However I think it is really drying out my cheeks so I need to switch to another one for the winter. ><

I think last night or the night before- Fiona (Fionaman on Youtube) was having a blogtv and I went on and I asked her for her opinion since we both have similar skin and she suggested was the Spectro hydro purple lotion. You can get it at Shoppers drug mart for 15 dollars or for 10 when its on sale. :) I plan on buying it next time it goes on sale! Thank you so much Fiona for recommending me to this product :) This is what it look slike

:) Anyways. that's the end ofmy little rant and helpful ness. I'll continue the skin portion later.

see ya later :)
